  • I am based in Rossville, Kansas, just outside of Topeka. I offer both in-person and online (telehealth) therapy sessions for clients located anywhere in Kansas.

  • Online therapy allows you to meet with me from the comfort of your home using a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform called SimplePractice. You can join sessions from your computer, tablet, or phone. Before your first session, you’ll receive a secure link and any intake paperwork. Online sessions are structured to feel just like meeting in person—with the same level of care, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Yes. I provide in-person sessions at my office in Rossville, Kansas, and online sessions for clients who prefer telehealth or live elsewhere in the state. You can choose whichever format best fits your schedule and comfort level.

  • The standard session rate is $150 per hour. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Kansas Medicaid. For self-pay clients, payment is due at the time of service. Additional paperwork requests (such as FMLA, school, or employer letters) are billed at the same hourly rate.

  • Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the expected cost of your therapy services if you are not using insurance. This estimate reflects your likely session frequency and fees and will be provided before services begin.

  • Your initial appointment is a 60-minute assessment focused on getting to know you, discussing your goals, and understanding what brought you to therapy. I’ll share initial impressions and recommendations, and together we’ll outline a plan that fits your needs. If another provider would better serve you, I’ll help with referrals.

  • The length of therapy depends on your goals and progress. Some clients attend for a few months to work through specific concerns, while others continue longer for ongoing support. We’ll review progress together and adjust as needed.

  • You can reach out through the contact form on my website, by phone at (785) 380-9216, or by email at vanvleck.elizabeth@gmail.com. Please include your general availability, whether you prefer in-person or online sessions, and your insurance information (if applicable). Because therapy is a personal process, it’s important that we both feel it’s a good fit. Depending on your goals and reasons for seeking therapy, I’ll review your information and confirm whether my services and areas of focus are the best match for your needs before scheduling your first appointment.

  • Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you miss or late-cancel more than three appointments within three months, services may be discontinued with referral options provided. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show and subject to the full session fee.

  • Yes. Your privacy is protected by law and by professional ethics. Information you share in therapy is confidential except in rare situations where disclosure is required by law—such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse or neglect. These limits will be reviewed during your intake session.
